Bath Community Hospital Rehabilitation Services is staffed by licensed therapists and technicians who offer a dynamic approach to the treatment of a variety of conditions and diagnoses. Staff members have advanced training in a number of specialty areas and years of experience in providing treatment and patient education in the hospital, at Bath Community Rehab & Wellness Center near the hospital in Bacova, Virginia, and in patients’ homes.
PHYSICAL THERAPY & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Using the most advanced equipment, physical therapists and occupational therapists provide services to hospital inpatients, outpatients, transitional care patients as well as home care.
RESPIRATORY THERAPY
Respiratory care staff provides exercise conditioning for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other lung conditions.
WELLNESS PROGRAM
The wellness program offers physical assessment, personal training, group exercise classes, work place assessment and other training programs at the Bath Community Rehab & Wellness Center near the hospital in Bacova, Virginia.
A supervised exercise program is offered to anyone motivated to improve or maintain their quality of life.

Our therapy staff works with Community House Home Health to provide physical and occupational therapy to home health patients.
DIABETES AND NUTRITION INFORMATION
The registered dietician at Bath Community Hospital is available to provide nutrition education for wellness and medical nutrition therapy. Weight loss, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and renal disease nutrition issues can be discussed on an individual basis.

DIABETES MANAGEMENT
A registered dietician and a registered nurse are available to help you manage your diabetes. A program can be designed to enable you to control your blood glucose and help prevent the onset of complications that are secondary to the diagnosis. Classes about medications, nutrition and exercise are available in a group setting or on an individual basis.
