Radiology Services

The radiology department at Bath Community Hospital provides imaging technology services for inpatients and outpatients of all ages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The department provides a full spectrum of routine diagnostic services. X-rays, CT scans and ultrasound are available on a routine and emergency basis. Mammography and bone densitometry appointments can be made through the radiology department without a doctor’s referral and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is available with a doctor’s referral twice monthly at Bath Community Hospital. This service is in conjunction with Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Diagnostic vascular ultrasound studies are also performed at Bath Community Hospital. Consultations and follow-up care is provided by vascular surgeons from the University of Virginia Heart and Vascular Clinic.

The radiology department is staffed with board certified radiologists and licensed technicians. Teleradiology services with the University of Virginia Health System and Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Radiology Departments provide radiology interpretation when a radiologist is not available at Bath Community Hospital. This service provides 24-hour coverage through their advanced teleradiology system.
